How do I get to Ísafjörður
The easiest way is to fly. It only takes forty minutes. Air Iceland (www.flugfelag.is) offers at least two flights a day and it´s easy to book throught their website, www.airiceland.is.
The drive is about 490km and it´s best to drive from Reykjavik to Bru following road number one. Then you follow road number 61 to Hólmavík and then in and out of all the fjords to Ísafjörður. In Iceland, the weather can change pretty quickly so be prepared. Take a showel and a phone is a good idea if the forecast is unclear. Also let somebody know about your travel plans

Oh yes! The Ísafjörður Ski Week has been held during Easter for over 70 years.
During the week there are all kinds of outdoor events in the day and parties during the night.
Unfortunately the website ( www.skidavikan.is ) is currently only in Icelandic.
